Ex-UFC fighter explains why he became a policeman

Jimmy Rivera, a former UFC fighter, explained why he decided to become a police officer.

“I told Elmwood Park Police Department Chief Mike Foligno that I wanted to do some police work. So we started a project with Ron Schulmann, one of the founders of Tiger Schulmann’s. Police officers don't have mental illnesses, but they do have a lot of stress. To come and hit a bag, work out, de-stress, it helps them a lot,” Jimmy said.

It is worth noting that Rivera launched a special program in which policemen practice BJJ and simply train to relieve stress.
