Eddie Hearn, in an interview with Boxing Social, stated that it is very likely that Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KO) will fight Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) next year.
Before that, both boxers have to win their fights scheduled for December 23 - Joshua against Otto Wallin (26-1, 14 KOs), and Wilder against Joseph Parker (33-3, 23 KOs).
Hearn also suggested that while AJ would officially fight Filip Hrgovic (16-0, 13 KOs) for the IBF belt, the preferred option would be to face the “Bronze Bomber”, who could be signed when the IBF title becomes vacant after the Fury-Usyk fight.
