Spanish mixed martial arts fighter of Georgian origin Ilia Topuria stated that after winning the championship title in the featherweight division, the UFC plans to challenge the star Mexican boxer Saul Alvarez.
Let us remind you that Topuria can become a champion on January 17 at the UFC 297 tournament in Toronto, when he shares the octagon with title holder Alexander Volkanovski.
“I would love to fight Alvarez one day. I have a lot of respect for him and will fight him one day. As soon as I become UFC champion, I want to meet Canelo. I believe that I have a chance to win. I've always watched this guy. I really think that I have the opportunity to get the better of him,” Topuria is quoted as saying by MMA News.
