Interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall criticized the upcoming bout between full belt holder Jon Jones and former division leader Stipe Miocic.
"I like the fact that an absolute championship title is on the line. The belt is also called 'uncontested'. This is not true, as Jon Jones is avoiding the other champion, which is me. He preferred to fight 42-year-old Stipe. He had an excellent career and will leave behind an outstanding legacy. But today it's two old farts holding the title. It's weird. Everyone doesn't care about this fight," said Aspinall on his YouTube channel.
Recall that Jones and Miocic will fight on the night of November 17 in the main event of UFC 309 in New York, USA.
