Former UFC champion in two weight classes Daniel Cormier commented on heavyweight division titleholder Jon Jones' win against Stipe Miocic.
"It looks like Stipe had some expectations, but he saw something completely different in the cage. Jones just wiped him out, he really just wiped him out. And even though I was surprised, I knew this fight could go two ways. It could be very close, very competitive or it could be one-sided.
We got the second option, a one-sided fight in which Miocic essentially accomplished nothing, even when he was attacking. It seemed like Jones saw this coming, he would respectfully duck, back away, and then start again. Miocic wasn't ready to keep getting into the fight in a way that would allow him to really get close to Johns. But it was vintage Jon Jones - lots of kicks, knees when they got close, and a good jab," Cormier said.
Recall that on November 16, Jones defeated Miocic by technical knockout in the third round in the main event of UFC 309.
