Coach Volkanovski hated Sambo

Craig Jones, coach Alexandra Volkanovski in BJJ, did not speak too flatteringly about sambo, a basic sport Islam Makhacheva.

“We’ve heard about sambo, but we’ve never seen how it works. If Islam does a submission, it is a move from Jiu-Jitsu. If Islam scores a takedown, it is a judo takedown. In my opinion, sambo is a myth, it doesn’t exist.” - said the specialist.

Let us remind you that Makhachev and Volkanovski will have a rematch on October 21 in Abu Dhabi.
