"I didn't say stupid s**t." Dana White won't guarantee Strickland vs. Adesanya rematch

Alexandr Ormanji Sept. 13, 2023, 4:40 a.m.

Dana White, UFC President, again touched on the topic of an immediate rematch between Sean Strickland And Israel Adesanya. Dana said that the press misinterpreted his words about the second fight between the fighters.

“People asked me about a rematch and I said it sounded good, but I never said the stupid shit those stupid sites wrote. I didn’t say directly: we will organize a rematch. I just said it sounded good. I’m still not against a rematch for Israel, but we’ll see how it goes,” White said.

He also noted that Adesanya did not look his best in the fight against Strickland, and it was this factor that influenced the final result of the fight.

Let us remember that Strickland defeated Adesanya by unanimous decision and became the new UFC middleweight champion.
