Oscar Valdes - Emanuel Navarrete

28-year-old Navarrete traditionally threw a lot of punches, actively hit with combinations and attacked in different planes. Valdes could not cope with the high intensity of the fight, and in the second half of the fight he boxed with his right eye almost completely closed from a hematoma.

After twelve rounds, the judges scored the meeting with a score of 116-112, 118-110 and 119-109. For Valdes, this was the second defeat in his professional career.

On the same evening, heavyweight Richard Torres Jr. (6-0, 6 KOs) won by knockout in the first round over Willie Jake Jr. (11-4-2, 3 KOs). The fight ended in just 92 seconds.
