On March 14, a tender will be held to select the organizer of the fight for the vacant IBF world middleweight title between Michael Zerafa (31-4-1, 19 KOs) and Esquivoy Falcao (30-0, 20 KOs). Previously, this belt belonged to Gennady Golovkin.
There is still time for the boxing teams to reach an agreement without a competition for promotional bids, but such a scenario seems unlikely. The fight will likely take place in the US or Australia.
Falcao, 33, last fought last May. Zerafa last entered the ring in November, beating Danilo Creati on points.
