Klitschko: "We have been living in a new reality for a year. Tragic and psychologically exhausting"

Ex-world boxing champion, and now the mayor of the capital of Ukraine Vitaliy Klichko spoke about the anniversary of the war between Ukraine and Russia.

"Friends! For a year we live in a new reality. Tragic and psychologically debilitating. But we are fighting, we believe in ourselves and our country. Therefore, we will overcome everything and win. A year ago, the unleashing of this barbaric war by Russia seemed unrealistic to most Ukrainians. But the capital was preparing for a possible offensive. Volunteers who joined the ranks of the territorial defense, our military helped to protect and hold the capital. The critical infrastructure of the city worked despite the shelling and the real threat of street fighting. Hospitals took in the wounded from the suburbs, where there were fierce battles. Grocery stores and community pharmacies were open. Business and caring people of Kiev provided support to those in need,” the official wrote on his Telegram channel.
