Heavyweight Andy Ruiz Jr. (35-2, 22 KOs) is now a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Al Haymon. This was announced in an interview with ESPN by Andy Ruiz Sr., the father and manager of the boxer.

Yesterday Ruiz refused the IBF final eliminator where he could face Filip Hrgovic, and probably in his next appearance in the ring he will fight with Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) in the final WBC eliminator.

It is not yet known who will organize the Wilder-Ruiz fight, but it is worth noting that the Bronze Bomber is also not formally associated with Haymon's PBC project, for which he has advocated for many years. Earlier, Eddie Hearn expressed interest in organizing the fight of this fight in Abu Dhabi.
