Coronavirus helped Edwards become UFC champion

UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards expressed confidence that the coronavirus pandemic helped him win the championship belt.

“I believe that the two years during which I was absent due to the pandemic prepared me for this moment. What has not happened during this time - ups and downs, deletions from the ratings. Yet it all prepared me for the main fight of my career. If I had not gone through all this, then the fight with Usman would not have turned out like this, ”said the Briton.

Recall that in August last year, Edwards knocked out Usman in the fifth round and took away the UFC champion belt from him.
