Alicia Baumgardner - Mikaela Mayer

The vibrant online feud between Baumgardner and Mayer continues on social media to this day. Mayer (17-1, 5 KOs) immediately after the fight stated that she deserved to win this fight and repeatedly called for a rematch. According to Baumgardner (13-1, 7 KOs), she enjoys the reaction of her opponent.

“I expected such a reaction from her. Again, she's a big loser," Baumgardner said. “Any fighter who loses just takes that 'L'. I accepted my "L" - look where I am now. It is what it is. This is boxing. You win, you lose. You will come back stronger. I give her credit, but I am the best at 130 pounds and I will continue to prove it if the rematch happens and if I decide it will."

Nothing is known about Mayer's next fight. Baumgardner plans to return in February for what she hopes is a fight for the undisputed featherweight championship, pending an WBA decision, given reports of injuries to undefeated champion Hyun Mi Choi.
