Former six division title holder, Boxing Hall of Famer and head of Golden Boy Promotions Oscar De La Hoya was not happy with the third duel between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Gennady "GGG" Golovkin at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. In his interviews at the beginning of the week of combat, De La Hoya expressed the hope that their third meeting would be as memorable as the previous two. The end result of the main event on DAZN was a one-sided victory for Alvarez by unanimous decision without much drama.

“The truth is that everyone is afraid to tell the truth,” De La Hoya said Sunday morning on social media. “This fight was fucking boring. GGG looked terribly old and Canelo didn't even deserve to hold Hopkins' bandage."

“I wish Canelo and Golovkin all the best, may they have the strength and courage to deliver the real war to the fans,” De La Hoya tweeted a few hours before the fight.
