Darren Till commented on the words of Khabib Nurmagomedov that Khamzat Chimaev you should surround yourself with good people - Muslims. This was said after Chimaev failed the weigh-in before the fight with Nate Diaz.
“Khabib failed the weight race five times, although around him it seems like all good people. And if Khamzat and I have fun and fool around a little on camera, does this mean that I am a bad person, or that his coaches are bad people? For example, his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach is one of the best grapplers of all time, but he is not a Muslim. Does that mean he's a bad person? I respect Khabib as a person and as a fighter, but I can't respect him for comments like this."
Recall that the fight between Chimaev and Diaz was supposed to head UFC 279. But, due to the failed weigh-in, the fight was canceled by Khamzat. Diaz fought Ferguson, choking him out in the fourth round. And Chimaev won in the same way against Holland in the first round.
