Saturday duel with Saul Alvarez (47-2-2, 39 KOs) will be the last for Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) under a valid contract with the DAZN streaming service. The contract was signed in 2019.
Initially, a boxer from Kazakhstan signed a contract with DAZN for six fights, but in 2020 the contract was renegotiated. Golovkin had to agree to smaller fees for subsequent performances, and the contract itself was reduced to five fights.
Previously, Golovkin worked for years in the American market with HBO, who decided to leave the boxing business. So far, GGG has not made any statements about the future and new agreement with the TV partner.
