American mixed martial artist Nate Diaz commented on the fact that now at the upcoming UFC 279 he will be opposed by Tony Ferguson, but not Khamzat Chimaev.
Recall that the leadership of the UFC made changes on the main card of the event after Chimaev failed the weigh-in.
“It's annoying. I don’t know how I will fight Ferguson, I will watch his fights tonight. But it doesn't matter. Be that as it may, I am always ready to fight with anyone. I no longer train specifically for a particular opponent, but simply always ready for battle.
I hated this dude for so long, and now I have to switch to another literally a day before the tournament and deal with a completely different situation. Okay, at least I get to fight someone who is a respected fighter," Diaz said in an interview with ESPN.
UFC 279 will take place on the night of September 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
