Islam Makhachev, a contender for the UFC lightweight championship belt, backed the organization's former welterweight champion Kamaru Usmanwho recently lost by knockout Leon Edwards.
“Kamaru Usman is someone who learns from his mistakes. Looking forward to his strong return,” wrote Islam.
Recall that after the defeat to Edwards, Usman lost not only the championship belt, but also the first line in the UFC P4P rating. It is now led by the organization's featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski.
