Deontay Wilder

There is no official information about the return of the Bronze Bomber yet, but statements about this are heard louder and louder, and there is already information that in October he will meet with Robert Helenius (31-3, 20 KOs). And then, if the comeback is successful enough, the Alabama puncher could go for Usyk or Joshua.

Derek Chisora (33-12, 23 KOs) also said that he would be happy to meet Wilder, but Wilder's team probably has other plans. This was told by his adviser and assistant Shelley Finkel.

“The fight with Helenius may take place, but it is unlikely that this will be the next fight after returning. Chisora? After all, he barely won against Pulev, no options. Deontay will be back at the end of the year, and maybe we will face the winner of the Joshua vs. Usyk pair, the winner of the rematch. Much will depend on the outcome of this battle. If Joshua wins, we can meet him in the UK. We'll also be looking at what Tyson Fury is doing. We don't listen to what he says because the truth is, if he wants to go out on the winner of the Usyk-Joshua rematch, he's going to get that fight. But we definitely want to fight the best, someone from the big four. This four includes Deontay, Fury, Joshua and Usyk. We also have several offers from outside of America and the UK. Now we are looking at how serious the applications are, but if they turn out to be relevant, this will also determine the name of the opponent, ”said Finkel.

For Wilder, the next fight will be a return to the ring after two early losses to Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs).
