Ring magazine named the winners in their nominations for the outgoing year. The best coach of the year is Eddie Reinoso, who, among others, coaches Saul Alvarez, Ryan Garcia, Oscar Valdez and Andy Ruiz Jr. Undefeated super lightweight Brendan Lee (24-0, 22 KOs) was the Prospectus of the Year. The 22-year-old American has fought three times this year. So far, the boxer from California has not defeated anyone significant, but he is climbing higher and higher in the rating of the weight category up to 63.5 kg.

The third fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder was declared the Best Fight of the Year. Boxer of the Year is Saul Alvarez, who has combined all the super middleweight championship belts in recent months.
