Briedis calls out Canelo

Mairis Briedis (28-1, 20 KOs) published an Instagram post in which he offered Saul Alvarez (57-1-2, 39 KOs) to fight for his IBF cruiserweight belt.

Briedis' offer was quickly commented on Twitter by Lawrence Okolie (17-0, 14 KOs), who, as WBO champion, has been stating his desire to cross gloves with the Latvian for months. "Doing anything but real negotiations," wrote Okolie.

Canelo is yet another idea from Mairis Briedis' team for a get a cash fight. Prior to that, the WBSS tournament winner had been "courting" Jake Paul on social media.
