Caleb Plant (21-0, 12 KOs) scored a unanimous decision victory over Caleb Truex (31-5-2, 19 KOs) in Saturday night's premier Boxing Champions main event, defending his IBF super middleweight belt for the third time. The champion failed to stop his rival, the clear underdog of this meeting, but won 120-108 on all three judges cards.
This Saturday night in Los Angeles, IBF Super Middleweight Champion Caleb Plant (20-0, 12 KOs) will have his first fight since the coronavirus pandemic. The 28-year-old boxer's opponent will be Caleb Truex (31-4-2, 19 KOs) who in the past owned a super middleweight championship belt.
According to The Athletic's Mike Coppinger, Caleb Plant (20-0, 12 KOs) will not fight Saul Alvarez (53-1-2, 36 KOs) on December 19. The parties came to the decision that the time left until the scheduled date is not enough for a full-fledged promotion, and the event will probably be postponed to January.
Caleb Plant (18-0, 10 KOs) won a unanimous decision over José Uzcategui (28-3, 23 KOs) and took his IBF super middleweight title. Their meeting was the main event of the evening in Los Angeles. Venezuelan visited the floor twice in the second and the fourth rounds. After twelve rounds, the judges scored it 115-111 and twice 116-110 in favor of the American.
