UFC bantamweight titleholder Valentina Shevchenko said she's ready to fight the promotion's third two-division champion Amanda Nunez.
"It's time to fight Amanda Nunez, isn't it? I'm ready for that fight. Whenever it happens, I'm here and I'm ready.
For me, being first in the rankings of the best fighters regardless of weight classes is not the most important thing. Some people do everything they can to be in that spot and even beg for the number one position. I don't think that's right. You just do your job, you win, and if they decide to put you at the top of the P4P rankings, it will happen," Shevchenko told Morning Kombat.
Shevchenko will make her title defense against Lauren Murphy at UFC 266 on the morning of September 26.
Recall, Shevchenko and Nunez had two fights in which the Brazilian took the upper hand. The first fight Amanda won by unanimous decision, the second by split decision.
