Plant defends title, Coffey scores TKO win

Caleb Plant (21-0, 12 KOs) scored a unanimous decision victory over Caleb Truex (31-5-2, 19 KOs) in Saturday night's premier Boxing Champions main event, defending his IBF super middleweight belt for the third time. The champion failed to stop his rival, the clear underdog of this meeting, but won 120-108 on all three judges cards.

Plant after the victory announced that he was ready for a unification battle in September with Saul Alvarez (54-1-2, 36 KOs). Such a scenario is highly likely if Canelo handles Avni Yildirim and Billy Joe Saunders before then.

On the PBC undercard, Michael Coffey (12-0, 9 KOs) knocked out Darmani Rock (17-1, 12 KOs) in the third round in a battle of two undefeated heavyweights.
