WBO Welterweight Champion Terence Crawford (36-0, 27 KOs) and the former World Champion Kell Brook (39-2, 27 KOs) have been formally weighed. Crawford showed 146.4 lbs on the scales. Brook, who hasn't made the welterweight limit in over three and a half years and has spent his last three fights in the junior middleweight division, has weighed in at exactly 147 pounds. In the contract for their meeting, there is no rehydrations clause on the day of the fight, so we can assume that Brook will surpass his opponent in this aspect.
The last time Brook fought at welterweight was in May 2017, when he lost to Errol Spence in his native Sheffield.
After weighing in, Crawford and Brook had a tense 3-minute duel of glances, during which they constantly talked.
For Crawford, this will be the fourth defense of the title he won against Jeff Horn in June 2018. On the eve of the fight, Crawford is considered the undisputed favorite of the meeting, his chances are regarded as 14 to 1.
The boxing evening in the United States will be broadcast on ESPN, starting at 7 pm ET. In addition to Crawford - Khan, the main card of the evening will include the fights of Joshua Franco - Andrew Moloney and Joshua Greer Jr - Edwin Rodriguez.
