Egis Klimas, the manager of the former light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev, shared his opinion on the situation around the accusations against the Russian. The boxer is accused of attacking a woman and beating her.

“If this were true or something serious, then it would be worth worrying about. But when you know that this is utter nonsense, that someone is just trying to use your name, it does not bother you at all and does not disturb you. If the situation was so dangerous, then Kovalev should have been afraid, hiding, wouldn't he?

“But if he knows that he did nothing illegal, then why should he worry? He has a career, personal life, and therefore he does not think about this story at all,” Klimas said.
