Maldonado: Mayweather knocks Nurmagomedov out in a boxing fight

Brazilian MMA fighter Fabio Maldonado believes that in the fight according to the rules of boxing Khabib Nurmagomedov will lose to Floyd Mayweather by knockout.

Nurmagomedov defeated Irishman Conor McGregor on October 6 at the UFC 229 tournament and defended his UFC lightweight champion title. In October, a video appeared in Instagram of the head of boxing promotional company Mayweather Promotions Leonard Ellerbe, in which Nurmagomedov offered to Mayweather a fight, without specifying in which sport. Later, Mayweather noted that "the battle can take place."

"I believe that Khabib is the best fighter in his weight in the entire history of UFC. Yes, McGregor did a lot for UFC. But in that fight I was rooting for Khabib, I like him. And it's great that he could win it. When I fought Fedor Emelianenko, Khabib approached me after the fight to say that he was ashamed of such a decision," Maldonado said.

“Khabib’s challenge to Mayweather is really interesting. I think that many are curious how such a fight could end. If the fight follows the MMA rules, Floyd will not last even three minutes. As for boxing, Floyd will win by knockout,” Maldonado said.
