37-year-old Braekhus was a kickboxer before transferring to boxing. At the end of 2017 she received the title of woman boxer of the year. She is the first woman in history to collect all the major championship belts by all main versions - WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF, and IBO.

In the professional ring, Cecilia Braekhus had 34 fights and won all of them, 9 by knockout. Before going to the pro, she had an amateur career, the result was impressive too - 75 wins and 5 losses.
