Linares stops Cotto

Former world champion in three different weight categories, Jorge Linares (45-4, 28 KOs) successfully debuted in the super lightweight division. At the boxing evening in Indio, California, a boxer from Venezuela stopped Puerto Rican Aberner Cotto (23-4, 12 KOs) in the third round.

In his previous fight, Linares lost his WBA lightweight belt to Vasyl Lomachenko. Prior to this, Linares did not know the bitterness of defeats for six years.
