Postol: Usyk has no reason to trade with Gassiev

Former WBC super lightweight champion Viktor Postol (29-2, 12 KOs) believes that Alexander Usyk (14-0, 11 KOs) has a good chance of winning the WBSS final against the Russian Murat Gassiev (26-0, 19 KOs). According to the Ukrainian, for this Alexander does not need to get involved in an open fight and show smart boxing.

"Of course, I will be rooting only for Alexander, our fellow countryman. The fight will be interesting, chances are 50/50. For Alexander the most important thing is to be smart, because Gassiev is a very tough opponent and he will try to break Usyk down 100%. He wants to win by knock out.

“Alexander is clever, and I think he should win on points. You need to trick Gassiev and not let him win by knockout. Trading punches does not make sense, Alexander does not have this style, he's not Mike Tyson. He's a great amateur, he's good at it. If Alexander stabs, feeds Gassiev with blows, then I think he can knock him out.
