UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington explained why Khabib Nurmagomedov is a clear favorite in a potential duel with Conor McGregor.
"Conor is a good fighter, but he is one-sided. Featherweight Chad Mendes fought with him not in his best shape and still controlled him in the stalls two or three rounds. And when such a large lightweight, like Nurmagomedov will lead a takedown, you will feel a serious difference in weight and force of blows. It will be a completely different story. Conor lost to Nate Diaz, whose record in welterweight was about 1-4. I think that Khabib will transfer him to the ground and bring the fight to victory," Covington said.
In his next fight, Covington should meet full-time welterweight champion Tyrone Woodley. The date of battle has not yet been determined.
