Russian Murat Gassiev commented on the trauma of Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, whom he was about to meet in the finale of the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS).
"It is a pity that my opponent in the WBSS finale was injured, but I hope it is not so serious and our fight will be held in the summer! In Saudi Arabia, as planned earlier, or in any other place, I am ready to fight and will try to approach him in my best form.
"In connection with the postponement of the fight, my coach Abel Sanchez and I agreed and decided that we will take a short pause in training until the situation becomes clear, and I had a chance to rest a bit, fly home to Russia, and in early May return to the training camp in Big Bear and continue preparing for the final," Gassiev wrote in his Instagram.
