"I have the opportunity to unify belts. This motivates me," said Alexander at the weigh-in.
"It is my honor to represent Latvia at such a high level tournament. I hope to meet the expectations of my relatives and my fans," said Briedis.
A large number of fans from Ukraine came to support Alexander on the weigh-in, including Vasyl Lomachenko and Anatoly Lomachenko, as well as mother, wife and friends of Alexander.
The broadcast of Usyk - Briedis duel will be today closer to midnight on the Inter TV channel. The beginning of the "Big Box" studio, where they will discuss the upcoming fight, is at 22:15 EET.
