Arum: Lomachenko to come back in March or April

Bob Arum the promoter of WBO super featherweight champion Vasily Lomachenko (10-1, 8 KOs) noted that the Ukrainian can return to the ring in March or April next year. The promoter said this in an interview to Boxing Talk.

"Lomachenko is going to take a month off and then we're going to talk right after the first of the year. We'll figure out when he's coming back and if he wants to stay at 130 or move up to lightweight. I'm not prejudging anything, but if you talk about professionals, his father Anatoly, Egis the manager and Vasyl himself, it's like dealing with extraordinarily smart people. It sounds to me like it will be April."

"I would like to see Lomachenko fight Linares, Garcia, this guy just wants challenges. He's up for anything, he's never turned down an opponent and he only looks for tough fights. Sometimes I can't get the tough fights done, so sometimes I have to get opponents that are good fighters, but nowhere near his level. He looked at Rigondeux as a challenge, but I think deep down he knew he would handle him without any problems."
