Wilder vs Stiverne 2 Preview

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs) returns to the ring on November 4, 2017, live on Showtime from Barclays Center to defend his title against the man he first took it from: Bermane Stiverne (25-2-1, 21 KOs).

Stiverne is the only fighter on Wilder's resume who has not been stopped by the power puncher. Since defeating Stiverne by unanimous decision on January 17, 2015, Wilder has successfully defended his WBC title five times. And now, Stiverne is back for another shot at reclaiming the throne.

Wilder was originally scheduled to fight Luis Ortiz on November 4th, however the WBC refused to sanction the fight following news that Ortiz tested positive for performance enhancing drugs (PEDs). Stiverne, having already been named the mandatory challenger for the WBC heavyweight title, took this opportunity to step up to the plate and fight to get his title back.
