William Pegg of US sued the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Conor McGregor for the fact that the Irishman hit him with a jar of an energy drink.

The incident happened on August 17, 2016 at a press conference before the battle of McGregor and Nate Diaz during the UFC 202. During the event the fighters strongly cursed each other, and then the frenzied MacGregor launched a jar with an energy drink at Diaz. According to Pegg, who worked at the event as a security guard, it hit him in the back of the head. The treatment cost $5,000 to Pegg and he claims $95,000 as a compensation for moral damage.

The fight between McGregor and Diaz ended with the Irishman's victory by a split decision.
