Usyk and Huck make weight

Andrew Karlov Sept. 8, 2017, 1 p.m.

WBO cruiserweight champion Alexander Usyk and former world champion Marco Huck ahead of their clash on September 9 in Berlin on the Max Schmeling Halle passed the official weighing procedure. Huck showed 90.2 kg on the scales, Usyk - 90.5 kg.

The weigh-in ended with a long and tense face-off. No one wanted to look away despite the attempts of promoter Kalle Sauerland to dissolve them. This time there were neither pushes nor insults.

It is worth noting that a lot of supporters of the Ukrainian champion were present at the weigh-in in the German capital.

"I want to say thank you to my entire team, my pack, who came to support me. I love you all very much. All those who live here, came to me, - thank you. Tomorrow fans can expect a beautiful and magnificent boxing in my performance," said Usik after the weigh-in.
