The newly-crowned world champion Alexander Khyzhniak, who was also recognized as the best boxer in Hamburg, after returning with his team from Germany told about his impressions of the competition, the most difficult battle in the tournament, his rivals, and also compared the World Championships with the European Championship, which was held in June in Kharkov.

About the impressions of the tournament: "I have very good emotions after the World Cup in Hamburg. Thanks to the general support of the team, we were able to win this medal. I believe that we showed a good result, having won not only a gold medal, but also the title of the best boxer in the world, which means that the team has prepared the best boxer in the world."

On the most difficult battle in the tournament: "It's hard to single out the most difficult fight. In every battle I opened differently. All rivals were very high level and went out to win. I fought the final fight against a boxer from Kazakhstan (Abilkhan Amankul), this is a very serious fighter who, on his way, defeated both the Olympic and the world champion. He went out to win gold for his country, but I was stronger."

On the difference between the European and the World Championships: "The European Championship was difficult, because we accepted it at home. I wanted to show good boxing. A lot of people came, there were a lot of my friends. There was a lot of emotions. The World Cup was also a very strong competition, on which we were able to win a medal and demonstrate our best."

About rivals: "My opponents were very strong, I felt it in the battles, I missed blows. However, I tried to maneuver in the ring and miss less, because at the World Championship the criterion for assessing the victory is very high, there you have to be above your head, or even higher, so that you will get a victory."
