The famous American trainer James Ali Bashir, who trained WBO cruiserweight champion Ukrainian Alexander Usyk, does not doubt the victory of his former fighter in the quarter-final of the WBSS tournament over the German of Bosnian origin Marco Huck.

"Usik will knock Huck out no later than the seventh round," Bashir told. "With all his experience and desire, Huck will not last longer. WBC champion Mairis Briedis is a very good fighter. He is the "dark horse" of this tournament. But I do not think that he will beat Usyk, although he can create big problems for Alexander.”

“Russian Murat Gassiev is a tough puncher, it's interesting to see him fight against Usyk. Cubans Mike Perez and Junier Dorticos can also be very hard to beat. But as the boxer Usik is the best. He can also hit, but his main advantage is his boxing skills. It seems to me that Usyk does not need to try to become more spectacular, because he is already quite good. Usyk is the best boxer in the world in the cruiserweights. He has good skills, high endurance, and strong chin. He is excellent with his combinations.”
