Floyd Mayweather in slow motion

Questions are suddenly being raised about the ability Floyd Mayweather will have when the five-weight world champion returns to the ring from another long absence. At 39 years of age, Mayweather is planning to fight again when he's well into his 41st year as 'Money' prepares to tackle UFC champion Conor McGregor in a cross-codes Pay-Per-View blockbuster.

Looking back at some of Mayweather's greatest performances, it's hard to see how McGregor can get anywhere near the former pound for pound king, provided those skills have not been dented by father time. The only hope McGregor has, according to a wide scope of the boxing sphere, is to land one of his famous hayemaker's on Mayweather's chin. Should the Irishman run into the Mayweather of recent times, though, the fight could prove to be entirely one-sided and McGregor could come off looking rudderless as a boxer.

Some famous champions have themselves found it almost impossible to land flush on Mayweather, something only a handful have achieved and McGregor will need to find a remedy to. Below is a video of the amazing defense possessed by Mayweather and the task McGregor faces to come anywhere near landing that telling blow he requires.
