David Benavides, the holder of the WBC interim super middleweight world champion belt, addressed the absolute world champion at that weight, Saul Alvarez, reacting to his recent statement. Canelo said he would fight David for $150-200 million dollars, no less.
"Canelo, if I'm not a challenge for you, why are you asking for $150-200 million dollars to fight me? I hope when you earn your 150 million, you have enough money to buy eggs," wrote Benavides on his social networks.
Recall, his next fight Alvarez will hold on May 4 in Las Vegas. His opponent will be compatriot Jaime Munguia. As for Benavides, he will fight with Oleksandr Gvozdyk for the belt of interim heavyweight champion in the WBC version.
