Usman named the only worthy opponent for Edwards

Former dominant UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman expressed his belief that only one fighter currently deserves to get a fight with current belt holder Leon Edwards - Belal Muhammad, who hasn't lost since 2019.

"The only contender that makes sense is Belal Muhammad. He's just been in the top 10 for a long time and now he's in the top five. What fight still makes sense? I think it will take time to build another character that can challenge the champion," MMA Junkie quotes Usman as saying.

Recall that the 35-year-old Muhammad has not appeared in the octagon since last May, when he took a points decision over Gilbert Burns.
