Porier: "I started practicing mindfulness after the fight with Gatji"

Former interim UFC lightweight champion Dustin Porier opened up about how he got over last year's loss to Justin Gaethje.

"After the fight with Gaethje, I went through some real mental anguish. I was going through stuff. That's when I started practicing mindfulness, setting my intentions and just trying to be grateful for every day. Yeah, it's really hard.

Whenever I saw what Volkanovski was saying, how he was expressing his thoughts and how honest he was being..... I went through that, too. After the fight, I started going to therapy. I think it's important to open up and talk about how you feel," - quotes the American Sportskeeda.

Recall that last weekend Puryear successfully returned to the octagon, knocking out Benoit Saint-Denis in the second round.
