Merab Dvalishvili, contender for the UFC bantamweight title, told how he happened to work in construction.

“I had neither a gym nor sparring partners, there were many other problems. But after six months everything changed, I found a team and started training. I worked in construction and then trained. I lost my debut fight, then won, and then got sick and lost again, losing hope of getting into the UFC. I worked all day in New York in the cold, and then went to the gym, and it was hard. In addition, at that time I was completing immigration paperwork and the lawyer deceived me. I thought the whole world was against me. But, thank God, I was patient and continued to work. It didn’t matter to me whether I got into the UFC or not, I just wanted to fight,” said the fighter.
