Eugene Barmine, trainer of former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, explained why he considers the organization’s former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedova the greatest fighter in the history of mixed martial arts.
“He could go in and out of the Octagon relatively unscathed, while destroying his opponent. In addition, he is one of the few athletes who managed to leave the sport while at the top. In all the years that I have been associated with mixed martial arts, I have realized that this is the most difficult thing you can do. Therefore, I consider Khabib the greatest fighter in the history of MMA,” said the specialist.
Let us remember that Khabib ended his fighting career in October 2020, having a perfect record of 29-0.
