Former world champion and current commentator Carl Froch reacted to the cut Tyson Fury, because of which his fight with Alexander Usik rescheduled to May 18th.
“I saw this weird video of the elbow strike. I don’t understand why the guy hits with his elbow in sparring. Injuries happen, but they shouldn't happen in fights of this magnitude when so much is at stake. Fury should have kept his sparring partners at a distance two weeks before the fight, holding them with a jab and tying them up as soon as they got close. From the video I saw, Fury didn't look sharp or focused. I don’t think there is any justification for cutting it. This has never happened to me.”
