Esparza reacts to his dismissal from the UFC

Carla Esparza, a former UFC minimum weight champion, commented on her dismissal from the organization.

“Perhaps I was removed (from the roster) for inaction. I am slowly rebuilding my body according to the recommendations of my physical therapist. During the postpartum period, relaxin and progesterone are produced in the joints and surrounding structures, especially since I am exclusively breastfeeding, which causes weakening of the ligaments and can significantly increase the likelihood of injury during exercise. “I’m just trying to be smart about my return and do everything in my power to avoid re-injury,” Esparza said.
