Volkanovski gave a forecast for the fight between Strickland and Du Plessis

Alex Volkanovski, the current UFC featherweight champion, gave a forecast for the upcoming fight between the organization's middleweight champion Sean Strickland and the applicant Dricus Du Plessis.

“It’s going to be a stand-up fight and I still think it’s a 50-50 chance on the feet. Du Plessis looks a little awkward, but he said he’s had surgery on his nose, which has been bothering him a lot before. Strickland can easily go all five rounds and he can step up in the final two rounds. If du Plessis's functionality does not fail, then he will win. I think Drikus has a better chance of winning,” Volkanovski said.

Let us remind you that Strickland’s confrontation with Du Plessis will take place on January 21 and will headline UFC 297.
