Sean George, coach Zhang Zhilei (26-1-1, 21 KOs) reported in an interview with October Red UK that the Chinese has already signed a contract for a fight with Deontay Wilder (43-3-1, 42 KOs).
“For our part, we have already signed a contract! - said the American coach. “Now everyone is talking about this fight, Wilder’s manager Shelley Finkel is talking about it, but I haven’t heard anything from Deontay Wilder himself, and until he talks, I will assume that this fight will not happen.”
“Just let Deontay sign the contract and let’s make this fight happen! Bomb Squad vs. Big Bang is what the fans want!” — Shawn George addressed Wilder.
The fight between Zhang and Wilder could take place on March 8 in Riyadh, the main event of which will be the fight between Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs) and Francis Ngannou (0-1, 0 KOs).
