Oscar De La Hoya is no longer the owner of The Ring magazine. The rights to publish the magazine, which is also called "The Bible of Boxing", were bought from the owner Golden Boy Promotions by Turki Al Al-Sheikh. This is another recent financial acquisition by Saudi investors in professional boxing. De La Hoya had owned The Ring since 2007.
Rumors that The Ring may be moving into Saudi hands have been around for a while, but were only officially confirmed this Wednesday when Al Al-Sheikh posted the following on his Twitter account, "Today begins a new era in the history of Ring magazine. Stay tuned!"

"The Ring" has been published since 1922, although it originally published information not only about boxing, but also about other forms of martial arts.
